===How do I access my web statistics?===

To find out how many people visited a site, from what countries, and what pages of the site they viewed:
#Go to the Websites & Domains tab and click the domain name for which you want to view the statictics
#Click Web Statistics.
#The site visitor statistics will show in a new browser window.
#To view statistics for web pages viewed from the SSL-secured area of your site, select SSL Web Statistics in the menu.
#To view statistics for files downloaded over the file transfer protocol (FTP), select FTP Statistics in the menu.
Alternately, you can view the visits statistics for a site by visiting the following URL: https://your-domain.com/plesk-stat/webstat. When prompted for username and password, specify your FTP account username and password.

===What do my web statistics offer?===

* Number of visits, and number of unique visitors
* Visits duration and last visits
* Authenticated users, and last authenticated visits
* Days of week and rush hours (pages, hits, KB for each hour and day of week)
* Domains/countries of hosts visitors (pages, hits, KB, 269 domains/countries detected, GeoIp detection)
* Hosts list, last visits and unresolved IP addresses list
* Most viewed, entry and exit pages
* Files type
* Web compression statistics (for mod_gzip or mod_deflate)
* OS used (pages, hits, KB for each OS, 35 OS detected)
* Browsers used (pages, hits, KB for each browser, each version (Web, Wap, Media browsers: 97 browsers, more than 450 if using browsers_phone.pm library file)
* Visits of robots (319 robots detected)
* Worms attacks (5 worm's families)
* Search engines, keyphrases and keywords used to find your site (The 115 most famous search engines are detected like yahoo, google, altavista, etc...)
* HTTP errors (Page Not Found with last referrer, ...)
* Other personalized reports based on url, url parameters, referer field for miscellanous/marketing purpose
* Number of times your site is "added to favourites bookmarks"
* Screen size (need to add some HTML tags in index page)
* Ratio of Browsers with support of: Java, Flash, RealG2 reader, Quicktime reader, WMA reader, PDF reader (need to add some HTML tags in index page)
* Cluster report for load balanced servers ratio

===How far back do the web statistics go?===
Web and Traffic statistics are retained for 3 months - however the monthly history will allow you to see the data for the entire year. You are able to view the complete statistics for the current month and for the past 3 months.

===How often are the web statistics generated?===

Web Statistics are generated every night. So you can have the most updated information the next day.

===How can I change the username and password to access my web statistics?===

Since your FTP username and password is linked to your web statistics. You will need to edit your FTP username and password.

Cloud Infrastructure API can Automatically Resize your Server. The RESTful API is one of the most useful and more interesting features of our Cloud Infrastructure service. With the ability to expose nearly all the features of your control panel the API will definitely help you get some 'REST'.

Here you can see it shows you all relative information about the server including the number of CPUs, CPU Power, Ram, IP address and much more.

Many more useful command can be used as well - more common would be to start or stop your server.

A domain name is a word or set of words followed by a suffix (e.g.: '''xmission.com''') that can be associated with many Internet services. The way a domain name is linked to a service is through DNS or Domain Name Services. Linking a domain name to an IP address makes it easier for people to remember. ==Domain Registration==
To register a new domain, you must first have an XMission account. Existing customers can, then, go to the [http://domains.xmission.com/reg_system.cgi domain registration system] to either register a new domain or transfer an existing domain from another registrar.

You can register your own domain name for only $10 a year. Should you move or decide to leave XMission, this domain will remain yours for the duration of the time purchased. Domains purchased via XMission are transferable to other registrars.

===New Domains===
On our registration page, enter the domain name you would like to register in the box beneath <span class="button">Enter Domain Name to Search For</span>. If the domain is available, you will be allowed to continue the registration. Fill in the information as prompted to complete the process. Note that you will be asked to create a username and password for your domain management. This does not have to be the same as your XMission username and password, so be certain that you don't lose it. The domain registration fee will be billed to your XMission account.

===Renewing===
When your domain is up for renewal, OpenSRS, the registrar we resell through, will send a paper invoice to the billing address on the domain. As an additional reminder, XMission will send an email reminder to the account that the domain was registered to. The charge for an extra year will be charged along with your next month of Internet services. If you do not wish to renew, please contact accounting and notify them that you would like the domain to lapse.

===Redemption===
One of the mostly costly things to happen to a domain is when they go into a redemption.

Redemption is when a domain has gone through a renewal phase without payment, that phase is usually 40 days from the first warning. It will then sit 30 days in a hold state until its released into the general public. The cost for bringing a domain out of redemption is 80 dollars that includes the 1 year renewal.

===Transferring===
If you are transferring a domain to XMission from another registrar, go to our registration page and enter that domain name in the box beneath <span class="button">Move Your Domain to Our Servers</span>. You will be guided through the rest of the process as if you were registering a new domain. Another year will be added to your existing term. (E.g. If you registered for a year with another registrar and there is still 6 months left, you will still have that 6 months in addition to your new registration duration with XMission.)
Transfer

When a customer decides to transfer a domain, they will receive a series of emails with instructions on the process. However, the following challenges often arise:

1. The email never arrives due to spam filters, etc.

2. The customer may not respond quickly enough to the emails. After 5 days, the customer must start the transfer again.

3. The customer may have the wrong email address associated with the domain.

4. The customer may not have their password for the domains management page, which is separate from their XMission account password.

To successfully transfer a domain, the following conditions must exist:

1. A domain cannot be in a locked or hold status.

2. For reseller to reseller transfers - or registrar to registrar transfers - the domain must have resided with the losing registrar for more than 60 days since it was first registered or transferred there.

3. Transfers add one year to the domain's registration; therefore, the gaining reseller must have a sufficient balance for the renewal in order to complete the transfer request.

4. Domain names that are expired but not deleted (up to 40 days past the expiry date, for most TLDs) can be transferred.

5.The current administrative contact's email address must be valid, to allow for the confirmation of the transfer request.

NOTE: A domain's name servers cannot be changed during a registrar transfer. The nameservers will remain the same during the transfer, and they can be changed once the domain has reached the receiving registrar.

Any standard form entries may be used (such as radio buttons, check boxes, pull-down select menus, etc.). Below is a short example of a proper form, but you may also review your mail.html.

In red, you will see the <form> tag. The method will be post, and the action will be your template message through our cgi-email script. The syntax shown in the form tag above should be followed exactly. You will, of course, replace "acctname" with your XMission account name, and mail.txt with the location and name of your template message. Your template message must be located in your public_html directory or a sub-directory within it. To show an example of a variation, the XMission username will be "web", the template message will be located in the public_html/contact/ directory, and it will be named "order.txt". <pre><form method="POST" action="http://www.xmission.com/cgi-bin/cgiemail/~web/contact/order.txt"></pre>

A notable bonus of using cgi-email is shown above in green. You can make a field required by preceding its name with "required-". XMission recommends that you make the email address a required field. The reason being, if you reply to your form and there is no email address present, your reply will automatically be sent to XMission's webmaster instead of the intended recipient.

==Creating the Template Message==

The template message is the email message that will be sent to you when the form is submitted. It's a simple text file in the format of an email message. Because cgi-email sends this text file as an email message, it must have the proper header fields to work properly and must not have any blank lines before the first field.

The format of the template after the header lines is up to you. The only thing you must have is the names of the form fields in brackets. Below is an example of a text template to go with the form above. You may also review your mail.txt file.

You would, of course, replace "John Doe" with the name of the person or department that the email message is being sent to, and "username@xmission.com" with the destination email address.

==Adding a "success" Page==

By default, there is a text confirmation page that notifies the sender that the email message was sent successfully. However, some XMission subscribers would like to replace it with a nicer HTML success page. This is easy with cgi-email.

You will need to open the HTML form and add a hidden form field. The syntax will look like the following example

Unlike the other form fields, you cannot change the name of the "success" field. It must be named "success" for it to work properly. The value is the URL of the success page that you want to appear after the sender has successfully completed and submitted the form. The example above will show the file named "successpage.html" in acctname's public_html directory. The success page value must be a fully-qualified URL, so you may want to be sure it works in a browser first.
