FreePPP 2.6 Setup

1. Open your Apple menu, go to Control Panels, and select FreePPP.
2. Click on the small blue arrow on the bottom left of the window to show the configuration tabs.
3. Uncheck every option under General.

5. Click on the Accounts tab.
6. If you don't see XMission - your city here> listed, click New.

8. In the Account name: field, enter XMission.
9. In the menu next to Connect:, select Directly.
10. In the field labeled User name:, enter your XMission account name.
11. In the field labeled Password:, enter your XMission password. You can leave this blank if you'd like to be prompted for your password when you connect.

13. Click on the Dial-up tab.
14. Enter the area code and phone number for the XMission location you will be dialing in the appropriate fields.

16. Click on the Options tab.
17. In the Domain name: field, enter xmission.com.
18. In the Primary DNS: field, enter 198.60.22.2.
19. In the Secondary DNS: field, enter 198.60.22.22.
20. Click on OK.

22. Click on the Locations tab.
23. Select Direct Dial (or Home).

25. Click on the Modems tab.
