Note: XMission's Dial-up Accelerator is designed to speed up web browsing for dial-up connections.
Windows / Internet Explorer
- Click on and select .
- Click on the tab.
- If you Dial-Up to XMission select XMission in the "Dial-up" window pane and click
- If you connect with DSL click the button.
- Check .
- In the text field to the right of Address enter http://proxy.xmission.com/accelerator.pac
- Press at the bottom.
Firefox
- Find your Preferences settings. This varies by platform.
- Linux - Edit Menu, then .
- OSX - Firefox Menu, then .
- Windows - Tools Menu, then .
- Select the section.
- Press the button after Configure how Firefox connects to the Internet.
- Select http://proxy.xmission.com/accelerator.pac in the text field. and enter
- Press at the bottom.
Apple OSX / Safari
- Click on the Apple icon and select .
- Click on .
- Click on in the lower right corner of the Network window.
- Select the tab.
- Click the button next to .
- In the text field to the right of URL enter http://proxy.xmission.com/accelerator.pac.
Google Chrome
- Pull down the menu under the icon shaped like a wrench.
- Select .
- Select the tab.
- Under the Network section, press the button.
- Click the check button next to .
- In the text field to the right of Autoconfiguration URL: enter http://proxy.xmission.com/accelerator.pac'.
- Press .
