  1. Double-click on MiamiInit in the Miami drawer.
  2. Click Continue.
  3. In the spaces provided, type in the modem device name and unit number. If you're using a standard serial port, the default setting should be correct.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. In the Phone Numbers field, enter your local XMission access number.
  6. From the list on the left side of the screen, select your modem.
  7. Click Continue.
  8. Under IP address, select dynamic.
  9. Under Protocol, select PPP.
  10. In the field labeled login name, enter your XMission account name.
  11. In the field labeled password, enter your password.
  12. Uncheck Use login dialog.
  13. Click Continue.
  14. Click Dial.
  15. In the space provided, enter your real name.
  16. Uncheck Print.
  17. Click Continue.
  18. Double-click the Miami icon.
  19. Click Settings and select Import from MiamiInit.
  20. Click Settings and select Save as Default.
  21. Click on Online to connect.
