- Click the Mail icon in the Dock. If you are launching Mail for the first time, it will prompt you to set up an account. If you already have an account set up in Mail and wish to add another, click Mail > Preferences > Accounts then click the + (plus) sign in the lower left corner.
- Enter the Following information:
- In the Full Name field, enter Your Name.
- In the Email Address field, enter your XMission email address.
- In the Password field, enter your XMission password, then click .
- In the Incoming Mail Server window, enter the following configuration settings:
- In the Account Type drop down menu, select POP3.
- In the Description field, enter XMission Email
- In the Incoming Mail Server: field, enter mail.xmission.com
- In the User Name and Password fields, enter your XMission user name and password, then click .
- In the Outgoing Mail Server window, enter the following configuration settings:
- In the Description field, enter XMission Mail.
- In the Outgoing Mail Server: field enter mail.xmission.com then, click .
- Verify the settings are correct on the Account Summary screen, then click
Mail should now be set up to send/receive email using your XMission account.
