kppp Dialup Setup

  1. Click Setup.
  2. Linuxkppp1.jpg
  3. On the Accounts tab, click New....
  4. Linuxkppp2.jpg
  5. Click Dialog Setup.
  6. Linuxkppp3.jpg
  7. On the Dial tab, next to Connection Name:, enter XMission.
  8. Click Add.
  9. In the space provided, enter your local XMission access number.

  11. Click on the IP tab and check that Dynamic IP Address is selected.

  13. Click on the Gateway tab and check that Default Gateway is selected.

  15. Click on the DNS tab.
  16. In the field labeled Domain Name:, enter xmission.com.
  17. For Configuration:, select Manual.
  18. In the field labeled DNS IP Address:, enter 198.60.22.2.
  19. Click Add.
  20. In the same place, enter 198.60.22.22.
  21. Click Add.
