How to return your XWi Home equipment
Please remember that XMission requires customers to return all XWi Home equipment within 60 days of service cancellation to avoid additional charges. Customer equipment includes the following:
- Router: The router is the tower-shaped device that plugs into the modem (or “access portal”) on your wall. It most likely has some kind of XMission branding on it: either a sticker or screen printed logo.
- Power cable: The power cable plugs into your electrical outlet and supplies electricity to the router.
- Mesh extenders if applicable + power cables: Mesh devices repeat your wireless signal throughout your home. Not all customers will have these.
Within a few days, XMission will email you a free shipping label. When you have received your label, please place all equipment in its original box or a similarly-sized box, attach the printed shipping label, and drop off the box at your nearest United States Post Office.
If you prefer to return your XWi Home equipment to our downtown Salt Lake City office, you may do so during normal business hours.

Please tell a member of our staff your XMission account number or the name on your account when you drop off your equipment to ensure that we correctly record the return of your equipment.
XMission expects customers to return all XWi Home equipment in its original working condition, with minimal wear and tear. XMission will hold customers responsible for all damage beyond minimal wear and tear.
Please note: Failure to return your XWi Home equipment within 60 days will result in charges:
- XWi Home router
- 250Mb—1Gb: $170
- 2+Gb: $250
- Wireless mesh devices: $150 per mesh device
- Power adapter: $15
